Remember this?

It doesn't just feel like a lifetime ago these pictures were taken, but a different universe. So much

has changed since I started teaching dance.

Thanks to interweb magic we now have access to dance industry leaders all over the world. KDance has partnered with Acrobatic Arts, Alixa Sutton, Ryan Jenkins from iD company and Acropad.

This access to world class practitioners, industry professionals and the latest techniques make KDance dance school with its finger on the pulse!

But these pics remind me of something that has never and will never change. From our very first dance class, KDance has seen the enjoyment that dancing together brings. No matter the teacher, or the syllabus followed, the joy dancers experience simply by being together and sharing their common love is unparalleled. The music, the common goal, the celebrating of each others success, the opportunity to discuss things we can't with our family and non dance friends, the feeling of moving in synchronization with your fellow dancers, the sheer joy of creating something that is bigger than yourself...........the list is endless.

It might not be clear to you but this is what I remember from these pics. KDance was much simpler back then. We played games, did a few exercise, learned a dance and put on a show. But looking at these pictures I remember the feeling of belonging we had.Today we are much more technique based, classes are categorized in styles and levels and our shows are more ambitious than ever. But that feeling of belonging is still there.....and must always be so.
